OASIS serves both students and community members in Watauga County. We can provide the same services listed under “Our Services” under the Home drop-down menu to everyone, student or community member.
We encourage our clients to seek as much support as possible, and to utilize the types of support that make them most comfortable. When seeking information and support, it can be a good idea to seek services from multiple offices. This allows you to find the best fit – where you are comfortable.
There are unique boundaries to leaving a intimate partner relationship for every client, and this is no exception for someone who may be in school with their abusive partner. There are safety concerns (do you have this person in the same class as you, or in the same building? Do they attend the same clubs or social functions?). It can be helpful to talk these concerns out with someone else, and seeing your environment in a different way can lead to more steps taken to keep safe.
