Inclusivity

OASIS is dedicated to ensuring our client’s comfort in the office and in the shelter. We have zero tolerance for demeaning language and discriminatory behaviors in reference to race, gender expression, sexual orientation, religion, and physical or mental health capabilities. We are dedicated to making our services safe, welcoming, and available to all. Our hope is for all of our clients, staff, and volunteers to feel comfortable to be and express who they are.

We recognize that there are unique barriers to leaving or seeking help for every client. Below, we have some resources listed that we feel are helpful in diverse communities.

The North Carolina Commission Against Domestic Violence provides trainings and support to Domestic Violence programs all around the state. Their toll-free crisis number is: 1-888-232-9124.
